We spent eight days in Negril shooting Drop 04. Here's how it came together.
Crown District is a Kingston label built on craft over churn. Each drop starts with a single idea — an aesthetic mood we want to live in for a season — and works backwards from there. We choose fabrics, find suppliers, sketch pieces, then prototype until it feels right.
The studio sits on the second floor of a converted warehouse in Half-Way-Tree. Pattern tables, embroidery machines, and bolts of heavyweight cotton from Pakistan and India. Every garment passes through three sets of hands before it ships.
What's next
We're working on a courtside capsule with a Kingston pro basketball team for late summer, and quietly developing a denim program for SS27.
